WhatsApp Beta Updated for WP with Mark as Unread and improved Notifications

WhatsApp is testing a new feature in their Windows Phone app.  In the latest build v2.12.80 WhatsApp beta tester @mancae90 has noticed that users are now able to mark a conversation thread as unread, useful if you use that status to keep track of important conversations.

Also the notifications part in settings received another refresh and adds more refined notification controls. Check the screenshot below for more info.

As you can see in the screenshot, there are new controls for and alert tones for both normal messages and group texts. Also now you have an option to change the settings for in-app notifications.

No other new features was observed and it is not clear when these feature will arrive on the public client, but we of course welcome all work to bring our client on par with the others on iOS and Android.
