4castr Updated to version 1.9, adds hourly forecast, new radar sources & more
Popular weather app 4castr has received another sizable update, bumping it up to version 1.9 with several new changes. Included in the update are two new radar sources, a new hourly forecast that includes the temperature, wind, and chance of precipitation graphs, and more. More of the changes in this update include:
- Added a new hourly forecast with temperature, wind, and chance of precipitation graphs
- Added Weather Underground and National Weather Service radar sources
- Improved location search
- Improved weather icons
- Improved live tile styles
- Redesigned live tile render engine
- Redesigned live tile pin page with tile preview
- Redesigned background agent with much improved memory efficiency
- Added background agent logging
- Added more user control over what happens in the background
- Added better data collection and off button
- Performance improvements
- General UI improvements
- General UX improvements
- General bug fixes and improvements
The update is available now, so grab it and let us know what you think of the new features. 4castr is free, however, there are optional in-app purchases to make it ‘Pro’ for the “awesome” features.
