Microsoft eases process to developer unlock devices with Win 10, Its just a toogle

At BUILD today Microsoft revealed that Windows and Windows Phone users will with Windows 10 be able to unlock their devices with a simple toggle, allowing them to side-load apps that have not been approved or cleared by Microsoft without any involvement of the company.

At the same time the iron fist of the previous policy may be one of the reasons for the lack of popularity of the OS and allowing some level of piracy may give the platform a significant boost.This obviously opens up the Windows Phone ecosystem to massive piracy, which may explain why only 20 unlocked apps are allowed on that device at one time.

Hopefully the availability of an affiliate program for legally downloaded apps will prevent the proliferation of websites designed just to push out pirated apps.
